I Suppose I am Human Afterall

These days I have been found to be quite a bit snappy, I get this attitude about me when overwhelmed that I just can not get rid of. For starters the end of year into new year was insanely slow with work, while it has picked up tremendously now, I was having a difficult time. Of course once I went back to my reminder to think positive and that everything will work out attitude, work started piling in for me. I keep neglecting to follow my own darn advice at times, suppose I am human after all.

ID-10076712I have spent more time these past two weeks apologizing for being snappy to those I love and adore. Thankfully I fill my life with those who truly love me, know my heart and forgive easily or explain that I am human after all so no need to apologize. We all have our days and we all have a limit when reached that we can snap.

To boot with the snappy-ness my period is coming and there is a reason I nicknamed my monthly menstrual cycle as my “nonfriend”, it plays horrible tricks on my hormones for 1-2 weeks prior to me even having this three day cycle every month. To boot, my oldest is having her hormonal changes in her body which is messing with my “normal cycle”.

Overall life has been a challenge lately but I have such great people in my life right now that I feel truly blessed and thankful for that I am trying like hell to focus on being less snappy, less overwhelmed and appreciate the love I have in my life. The things I do have in my life, not materialistic items, human beings – are so important, amazing and I feel so special to have every person in my life that is part of it now. I can admit that I am human after all, but I wish I worked more like some robot with emotions sometimes….

New Year, Working out Again? Let’s See How Long This Last

I do not make resolutions, just so you are very clear here. I am simply thinking it’s a New Year, why not start it out with a bang and get back to getting fit, since I took too much time off from my workouts.  I lost 20lbs in about a month using EA Sports Active on the Wii and so I know I can keep moving forward to keep that weight off {which some has come back with lack of exercise} and be prepared for Summer time.

EA Sports Active Wii

January 2, 2013

When I look at this picture I do not see the same person I see when I look in the mirror, it is that I have been looking at my face getting a little chubbier and my belly fat coming back due to lack in workouts and I cringe. Shown here I see a somewhat decent sized woman, of course I have curves, as you can clearly see below, but I don’t look at these pictures and cringe like I have been when I venture into the bathroom each day.

How to lose 20lbs in one month

January 2, 2013

This is my workout gear, but sometimes I wear a different tank. I lost 20lbs using the EA Sports Active 30 Day Challenge on the Wii in one month. I was so proud of myself. I had stuck with it and in turn my children started to be more active. Now all I get is a daughter who wants to play Just Dance 4 for her workout after over eating at her father’s house during the holidays. Seriously? A workout does not off balance that huge amount of food you shoved in your face kid!

I am so working to make my morning workout part of my morning routine, I feel that if I can get back into doing that then all will be good. Since I did so well losing 20lbs in a month, I thought I would share some tips on how best to lose weight

  • Make your exercise routine part of your daily routine, usually the morning routine.
  • Get the family involved, it’s always easier to stick to a workout routine when others are doing it with you.
  • Meals – use smaller plates at dinner time so you can not over eat, such as those smaller plates that maybe you let the kids use for meals instead of the full size dinner plates.
  • Snacks – choose healthier but filling options such as protein bars or apples, both are great choices and help you to feel full in between meals in a healthier way.
  • Park further away from the entrances at stores, my kids hate that I do this, but it really does help you get that little bit of extra exercise in your day even with your daily workout routine.
  • Never give up – if you missed one workout day, that’s fine, life happens. Just pick up the next day and get back into the routine again, do not allow yourself to feel down thus losing more workout days.

I created the above tips based on what worked for me to lose 20lbs in one month. I personally feel that if I can do it while working from home and juggling three kids & their activities then you can do it too!

A New Year and Still Me

I wanted to write something like “a New Year, A New Me” but I am not new, I am still the same old chick. I have had tons of time with the lack of sleep in this household to really think about where I am at in life and business so that I can make some changes in both areas that I am actually 100% okay with doing. I feel more relaxed and focused, maybe it’s the lack of sleep giving me no choice but to think about my to do list and such, who knows.

I am excited that we are now in the year 2013, so many changes this year for me and while some are super scary, all feel so wonderful! I am excited to be moving forward in a positive direction both as a person and as a family and entrepreneur.

Now if winter will be over already I would be even more happy.

You Can’t Pay for Membership On Phone

The other day my five year old begged and pleaded to let me make him a member on Club Penguin, it’s  a game on the computer that him and his sister love to play often. I only let them have the free version with ultimate limited chat versions, they are penguin friends on the site and have a lot of fun with it.

There is a membership version of Club Penguin, as with most children game sites, they lure the kids in with some awesome free stuff but if they want more then they need to ask a parent to pay for a membership. Yeah, lovely trick these game people are up to!

So my five year old comes into my office the other day to inform me that he wants to be a member of Club Penguin and the conversation went something like this:

Mama can you make me a member of Club Penguin?

NO I will not make you a member of Club Penguin dude, it costs money.

In pipes the daughter, yeah A and Mama it costs like $40 to be a member.

I realize this daughter, hence why I said NO I will not make you all members.

But Mama, says the five year old, all you do is call this number on the computer and it doesn’t cost money because you can’t give money over the phone dummy. That’s just stupid.

Dude, do not call me dummy, that’s a mean word and we don’t use it in this house and YES you can pay money over the phone, it’s called using a credit card.

Mama that is just stuipd, you can not pay for something over the phone so it’s free and you need to call right now to make me a member.

No. I am not making you a member and you are lucky that I let you continue to play after you just called me dummy.

So apparently me thinking one can pay for something over the phone makes me a dummy and just stupid. Some days I just love parenting, it’s so much fun!

Things I’ve Learned While Collecting Thoughts

I have been having a rough time getting into the positive vibe lately. Between finances and personal issues both emotional and financial it seems I have forgotten what makes me happy, some of my own faults I need to work on and that life is too short to think about the past. This is my video to share with you all my thoughts on life both personal and professional.

I ask you all this question, what have you learned about yourself looking back? Are there things you will be working on making better about yourself so that you can have a better future and life? Share with me in a comment below or do a video response on YouTube!
